Although “upload” is commonly used, you are usually importing a channel list rather than uploading content to an account. TiviMate reads that list and uses the stream addresses inside it to play channels.

What You Need Before Starting

Make sure TiviMate is installed on your Android TV or compatible TV device and that the device has a working internet connection. The app is designed for television screens and remote navigation, so these instructions focus on its TV interface.

You also need either a complete M3U playlist address or an M3U file saved somewhere your device can access. Obtain this from a content service you are authorized to use or from your own legitimate playlist collection.

TiviMate does not supply channels. Paying for its Premium features does not purchase a television subscription or make an inactive playlist work.

Keep your playlist details private. Some addresses contain a username, password, or access token, meaning anyone with the complete address could potentially use your account.

Add an M3U Playlist Using an Address

An online playlist address is convenient because TiviMate can retrieve the list again when you refresh it. Menu wording may differ slightly between versions, but the main process is similar.

1. Open the Playlist Setup Screen

Launch TiviMate. If you have not added any channels, select Add playlist from the initial setup screen.

If you already use the app, open Settings, select Playlists, and look for Add playlist. Choose M3U playlist when the app asks which playlist type you want to import.

Do not choose Xtream Codes or Stalker Portal for a standard M3U address. Those options use different login methods.

2. Enter the Complete Playlist Address

Select Enter URL and type or paste the complete address supplied with your playlist. If your device supports keyboard input from a paired remote app, that can make entering a long address easier.

Check the entry carefully before continuing. Preserve capitalization, punctuation, numbers, and any text after a question mark. Remove accidental spaces at the beginning or end.

Use the playlist address itself, not a provider’s homepage, payment page, or account dashboard. A playlist address does not necessarily end in “.m3u,” so do not shorten it based on its appearance.

3. Process and Name the Playlist

Select Next or the equivalent confirmation button. TiviMate will attempt to retrieve and process the playlist.

Allow the operation to finish, particularly if the list contains many channels. If the app displays a channel count, check that it appears reasonable for the playlist you expected.

Enter a recognizable name, such as “Living Room Channels,” when prompted. The name helps you identify the list later; it does not affect stream quality or account access.

Complete the remaining prompts to open your channels. If an EPG setup screen appears, add your guide details or skip that stage temporarily.

Import an M3U File Stored on Your Device

If you received a downloadable file instead of an online address, first transfer it to storage accessible from your TV device. This could be a local folder or compatible attached storage.

Open Add playlist, select M3U playlist, and choose Select local playlist or the corresponding file-selection option. Browse to the saved file, select it, and continue through processing and naming.

Grant file access if your device requests permission. If the file does not appear, confirm its location and whether TiviMate can access that storage.

Renaming an unrelated document with an M3U extension does not create a working playlist. The file must contain valid playlist entries and usable stream addresses.

Unlike a hosted playlist, a downloaded copy does not automatically receive changes made to the original online list. Replace or update your local file when needed.

Add an Electronic Program Guide

An electronic program guide, or EPG, supplies program names, schedules, and descriptions. It is separate from the channel list, so channels can play even when their schedule information is missing.

If your service provides a compatible EPG address, enter it during setup. Alternatively, open Settings, find the EPG source options, add the guide address, and associate the source with your playlist where required.

Run an EPG update and allow time for the information to load. Automatic guide matching generally relies on the playlist’s channel identifiers matching those in the EPG source. If schedules remain empty, check those identifiers or use manual EPG assignment where available. An unrelated EPG may download successfully without filling your channel schedules.

If program times look incorrect, check the device’s date, time, and time zone before changing guide offsets.

Fix Common Playlist Problems

If TiviMate cannot process the playlist, start by checking the complete address. A missing character, outdated password, expired access token, or accidental space can prevent the list from loading.

Confirm that your account is active and that your device can reach the internet. Ask your content service whether the playlist address has changed or whether its server is temporarily unavailable.

If channels appear but will not play, importing has succeeded, but stream access may still be failing. Try several channels to distinguish one unavailable stream from a broader account or connection problem.

Persistent buffering can involve your network, the streaming server, or device playback compatibility. Adding the same playlist repeatedly usually does not resolve those causes.

Avoid clearing TiviMate’s application data as an initial troubleshooting step because it can remove your saved setup.

Confirm the Setup Is Complete

Open several channels and check video, audio, and available guide information. Once playback works, organize your channels using the options available in your version.

Keep the original playlist details secure so you can restore the setup if necessary. For future channel-list changes, use the playlist update option rather than creating unnecessary duplicate imports.
